Query re P/T made up to F/T for xmas?

Evenings.

As per the header, at my DO a few part timers that cover/fill full time duties have been told not to book their usual overtime for the christmas pressure period. Staff upstairs are saying that it'll be done without the need to write it on the daily overtime sheets. Is there anyone with any bookroom experience that can explain the inner workings of this compared to say the rest of the year? Presumably it's so they get the full bonus whatever that may be this year, is this common practice country wide?

I was told this last year...

I was full time but only because I worked my rest days Mondays and Tuesdays as overtime!! Not because they made me up...

Presumably' is a big 'IF' in my book unless you've had it in writing. It's all a different story after Xmas when
you try to chase it up. I'd only believe this when I saw in in my pay packet.....

Apparently stamps next week (from thur onwards) Bonus 22 Dec pro rata obviously
