Loss off holiday pay when sick

Hi all,been threatened with loss off holiday pay whilst on sick,even though doctors input was beneficial!! Thanks

Not sure what you are asking for.

However, just to avoid confusion you can't be on sick leave and annual leave at the same time, thats the law.

If you declare you are on sick leave and have not yet completed a year at Royal Mail then you won't get paid.

There is some good news though, you are allowed to take Annual leave instead of sick leave, the choice is yours.

If that's what you are asking about then you'll need a Union rep on board so contact them as soon as you can.

Been off for eight weeks, due a week off annual,doctor recommended to help aid off recovery holiday would be beneficial,booked a wedding anniversary in feb 8 months previous now threathed with loss off pay!

There is a new thing called sick while on annual leave - if it is booked annual leave BUT you have been off sick preceding and after it AND told your DOM you are not fit for work for that period then it is put down as sick while on annual leave - during this time you can go away as planned but you do not get the holiday back as you have taken it by going away

I only know this as it happened to me recently - to be honest I found it fair as I was stressing about getting into trouble for going away while off sick

No hoping to be back as soon as well,have doctors line until 9th dec,although being pressured by management isn’t helping my mental health whatsoever, just feels like banging my against a brick wall !!

No as soon as I’m well although feeling even more stressed by management pressure implying I’m fit for work even though my gp has issued sick lines saying that it would aid my recovery taking a holiday pre booked some eight months previous,any help thanks
