Special delivery

Hiya lads today i got the shitty feeling that ive forms left a special on thursday which was a letter and havent handed it back into the locker to be fair god nos what ive done with it maybe chucked it in with the tso mail this was thursday. No ones been in to the office as of yet to try to collect. If i have balls ...ed up when can i expect to get screwed. I know when you now scan a tracked item as not delivered these are scanned back into the office and there all over you like a rash if it doesnt return with you. Are the specials scanned back in and do the same or will they wait till some one trys to collect.

Form left specials are certainly scanned as available for collection by our Callers Office as soon as they are booked in. Might not be the same for all offices though.

No wonder posties sometimes make mistakes,they are under so much pressure,the workload is often unachievable and they have to put up with managers that have no man management skills at all.

Thursday was the forms left day

Depends on the manager and customer I suppose.

If the customer attempts to collect it and it's not there then it could be anytime. Though if it's that important to be a Special I would have guessed they'd had collected it by now.

The manager would have had a failure report by now if something strange happened so though it's still possible its unlikely to have been sent to the MC by accident.

However, its possible that the customer hasn't collected it and the MC thinks you have returned it to sender then you won't know till the sender complains.

If you have the tracking number then it might be worth checking.

Dont they know straight away if reggies arent handed back in rather than 3 days later? If a tracked is forms left and not returned to depot same day there all over you?

As far as I know, only failures are reported to the manager. The rest depends on local processes. At ours, we have to hand the specials to the Callers Office directly and they log it in.

The locker room get a list of specials they process by bags (called dun notes) and they can trace each one individually, but I don't know if they get a global report on the disposal of each one, or even if they can get it.
