No doubt explains the sudden drop of nearly 5% of the company on the stock market.
Looks like RM have lost the whole workforce,might improve our hand in the current talks with RM under severe pressure from the greedy shareholders?

Can’t see that surely it’s down to a credit Suisse downgrade due to a increase in mail decline for future years!

You've overlooked the parts in that report that said

The analysts added that labour negotiations are "a key pressure on the stock", and said three per cent wage inflation is likely, based on their research.

The company has been grappling with unrest among its workers, and the prospect of strike action over the busy Christmas period is hanging heavy over the group.

So managers are feeling the pressure too

.... If they ballot for strike action before Christmas (and I'm sure they can) ... then the havoc of limited deliveries in the run up to Christmas may still be a reality ?

I'm not entirely sure if this would be a good thing (for any of us

) but as a Trade Unionist I'll not be crossing ANY picket line.

Don't think I would readily go on strike to defend a group of backstabbing bastards whom already get a pension by reducing our pay by fair means or not!

Nor would I, normally... but as a union member, the usually-spineless Unite are saying on Page 2 of that letter that they are not willing to do the work of CWU members, if we are out on strike

But they'll do it any other time, thus enabling RM to not hire the appropriate staff to do the job/increase hours of P/T staff?

If the CMA did vote for strike action and it was on a different day than the CWU would anyone notice any difference than a normal day without strikes anyway!

That's an excellent point. They would be signing their own death warrant, if it could be demonstrated that the work can be done without huge numbers of coffee-drinkers. Sorry, managers
