Mental Health issues

RM Warrington DO on BBC1 news this morning discussing issues of Mental Health.
Did not see any RM managers discussing RM new plan to deal with Mental Health issues with staff.
My questions is if RM is now serious on dealing with people who suffer mental health issues in a sympathetic manner, why is it that managers choose to ignore these issues and issue Attendance warnings anyway. So that is the compassion!!!!!

Got a guy in our office bullied so hard over 2 months he had to go off for 6 months, he came back last year and it continued so he left. This is with a b and h complaint in, DOM swept it under the carpet somehow

This is exactly what I have been saying for a long time,what does this constant bullying and intimidation by RM managers do to your mental health? I know it was effecting me,but I was lucky to be able to walk away others are not so lucky.
It makes me so angry,when you keep hearing about how RM are concerned about their peoples mental health,they couldnt give a toss,just making out how much they care,makes them look the total liars that they are.

My point exactly they can talk all they like about mental health issues as much as they like, but until they actually do something about it it’s a waste of time.

It is a top down dictatorship these things do not just happen they are planed from above if anyone rocked the boat in management they would have no future in not just Royal Mail but in any capacity of management as you need a reference to get another management job. But I see it and have experienced this totalitarian bullying which all gets swept under the huge carpets with the underlay being those who made a stand for their rights and the rights of good customer service!

To me there was a form of verbal bullying,on the bbc when the manager kept up the royal mail Mantra of "our people"and" our Unions".
a sort of mental condescending approach.
I am sure they are brainwashed.

But I watched the RM bullying and Harassment training video in WTL. And not one single example was of a Manager bulling a Postie... So they must be The Good Guys. ?

They are it's called conditioning if they have not been assimilated then you are not a manager you can generally tell when they have by their actions or lack of them and edicts which have come from above and always having more coffee than anybody could possibly consume as a postman/woman as they have toilets to take the piss out on as well as us all!

Even had the bloke who was off for 6 months with stress from bullying request indoor work for 2 weeks due to the fact the problems were delivery related and they said no and he had to go off again

That's not for public consumption or indeed the workers the managers have separate one's with bully boy union reps and workers who just want to finish on time and anyone who cut's off is a communist insurgent but I only found out because I walked into the right office at the wrong time should have noticed all the biscuits and cakes on the table but could not help myself!

I suppose if theres one good thing about this job, you don't have to spend your whole shift hanging around with some of the buffoons in the office.
