Is it possible that Fed Ex could make a bid for royal mail. It is mentioned on the rumour mill of quite a few share forums.

Would it pass a monopolies test?. They've already snapped up TNT which was allowed by the EU because they didn't have a European footprint at that time. They want to take on Amazon and UPS on this side of the pond and are apparently looking for businesses ripe for a takeover, namely us as our European business(GLS) is flying.

Could this be a goer?.
