I would imagine, working more overtime is the easiest way to get more overtime.

The ways i know of, Im not too sure about how everything works office to office but these are what I do to make my hours up.

Scheduled attendance - if your office offers it, in my office this is indoor sorting work or driving doing collections in the local area.

Working days off - Typically only offered to me when my day off is a Wed or a Sat however can sometimes get lucky and get a nice easy day.

Working overtime - Of course everything other than your contract is overtime but if your in an office where people leave a lot of bags behind this can be a nice way to get extra hours.

Working in other offices in the area - If i cant get work on a day off in my own office from time to time I have gone to other local offices to do walks.

Working in a local distribution centre - Im not too sure how to go about finding out about doing this, I just overheard people in my office talking about it and one day went to the local DC to work with them.

I guess ask your manager about these options or anyone in your office that you know regularly does extra.

Telling your DOM you don't mind covering other offices when they're short, sometimes looking at 3hrs overtime just driving there and back. My office doesn't do collections but another office that does, have a couple of people that do the maximum hours allowed every week

Just remembered, Sunday callers office, apparently usually you have time to do do your d2d for that week too!

Never take the overtime out with you. Always come back for it so you get traveling time, at least half an hour for bundling and getting to and from. Dont try to make time on it, say what you can do in a set amount of time. Never agree to half a round for example in their perceived time.

If you just want a bit of extra money short term, then any of the above useful suggestions.

Please folks, don't shoot me for this;

Longer term, I hesitate to suggest it but in all seriousness, get another job. If you NEED that regular boost in pay then you have to question if the job as it stands is right for you. You certainly won't be getting any extra when you are sick or on holiday.
Don't forget that if you've done regular overtime your part time contract should be reviewed to see if an uplift in hours can/should be done (or at least that's the theory).

I agree best way to earn more money is maybe look for a job closer to your needs in terms of £.
