Special DODR questions

Anyone else seen the "special questions" on the DODR enquiring about how the result has been communicated.
Particularly interesting was the one about has it been posted on local social media? and, if yes someone (who presumably wears a suit and has never done a days work in their life) will call to discuss.

Not sure what to make of them, what's RM's game here?

From my experience in other jobs, when bosses are looking for things work-related being posted in 'local social media' they are usually hoping to crack down on staff saying things they are not allowed to in the local newspapers.

Such comments often don't ever get online so the bosses can't find out and punish the one quoted.

Be warned everyone - say 'no comment' to everyone or else be prepared to back up every word you say in front of your bosses!

Scary times.

Saw this also and didn't feel comfortable answering as it had absolutely nothing to do with the DODR reporting.
For a change I left it in the hands of the deputy DOM to complete.
So that didn't get done today!!!!

This is getting like '1984'.
It was a lawful ballot - the results can be communicated in any way you or I might deem appropriate. In fact, I believe there is some kind of statutory responsibility for the ballot result to be made available to all union members - and the means by which this is done is not specified. Would it be better if it were done by a pigeon carrier ?

It's the Delivery Office Daily Report. It's probably something that managers are supposed to do but they aren't very good at that sort of thing so they usually get an indoors guy to do it instead.

Did DODRs for a few years as part of my indoor work but because I was maybe too honest the linos took over!

Filling in the DODR is a management task and should not be done by the "indoors guy". Why would you, is it a power thing?
DOM support does not mean wipe his/her arse either.

I answered NO for all four questions until Friday when I recieved a LTB about the result and I posted that on our official board.

Dom support does ours as our so called manager is busy doing god knows what at the other office he's supposed to manage and seems to prefer than ours?!!

The previous Dom support quit as he was fed up having the so called bosses work passed on to him,not really sure of what a boss actually does during the day apart from find work for Dom support to do so he does even less?!
