Adhoc leave

Post by Owl »

Hello all
Experiencing real difficulties on getting adhoc leave days. It’s not just me everyone in the shift is experiencing the same problems. Budget always comes back as full and manager won’t over rule.

There’s only so much the union can do as the feedback they get is.... budget budget budget !

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :cuppa

Adhoc leave

I started with Royal Mail on 26 April 2017 and only had 4 days holiday booked at that time (in June), which, quite rightly, the company honoured.
I now have 16 days left to take before 31 March 2018, but every time I've suggested taking a day's holiday, I've been told "no".
I've now been told that the DOM has said "no more holidays to be booked until after Christmas".
This means that I'm going to have to take 16 days holiday beween 1.1.18 and 31.3.18.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing, and if so, how did they deal with it?

The above is going to be a similar situation to what is going to be happening in our office come January - March!
