I should think the lying trickles all the way down from the top of the Royal Mail empire no names mentioned...

probably yes , but who cares about them and I like the way unite are trying to jump on the cwu 89% band wagon now , they got a 28% return on there pension ballot of NO so I cant see the powers above worrying to much if they went for a strike ballot.

That's just those at the top of big companies in general, think Ryanair, monarch, BHS, Tesco......

This is where they missed a trick. CWU & Unite should have jointly come together as both are battling on the same front, but that's how RM are able to cause division within the workplace, as they treat their frontline with disdain, while treating the management more favourable. It is about time management realised they are being used & abused like the rest of us, grow a set, rise up, & make a stand, instead of always accepting what is put on the table, as money isn't everything, as you soon realise, when It's too late afterwards. That is the only true way division will stop, this them v us mentality, at the end of the day, we are supposed to work together.

I would say zero

Only 3 or the 8 managers are in their union in our office

And look at the last turnout in their vote on pensions.

I see. Just wondering perhaps if we can expect to see Unite put on hold, CWU dealt with, then Unite settled more favourably. Makes sense for RM to go in that order.

I would say highly unlikely, the company always come to agreement with management firstly, before staff, as can't afford for both to jointly go out on strike in a show of strength.

The time for Unite to strike while the poker is hot is now. There is no point or leverage in waiting until there is some kind of resolution with the CWU, the only way to bring this to a quick end is if both Unions take action at the same time.
