No extra vans this Christmas

We normally have an extra 6 hire vans in our office to do large parcels but this Christmas we will have NONE
Like to know how that is going to work

It's not going to work. I don't think management actually care if the mail is delivered. As long as the tracked items and specials are delivered, feck the rest, that's thier attitude.

You'll possibly think I'm taking the mick but this happened to me a few years back when loaned out to a sub office.

I think they were expecting me to use my own car. Ha.

I took one or two parcels out at a time depending on size and walked all the way out to the address and back again.

I never got invited back there again. No idea why...

We had no hire vans last crimbo either..the vans we were given were deathtraps..god knows where they found them..cost cutting idiots

Weve been told No extra vans this year at all as well ,im really looking forward to Christmas as I will be working my time going home and watching the packets hit the roof in our office

We didn’t have any extra vans last Christmas.

Doubt we will get and this year either.

We normally get 2/3 but have been told that we will get none.Dom reckons he will ask for volunteers to start late and if none he will change some duty times.

Same here we've been told that in the no annual leave period running up to Xmas if there's no volunteers the reserves will be forced to work lates doing parcels.
