Has RM got the Amazon contract back? Sudden big increase in the amount of Amazon coming through

Not that I'm aware of but will happily stand corrected. RM have always delivered some of Amazon's orders even after their logistics operation was launched where they deliver many of their own packages. At busy times such as the build up to Christmas there will be an increase in the amount of traffic filtering through RM as Amazon can only deal with so much themselves.

We never lost it. At least in my office. Get at least 20 Amazon parcels a day minimum on my duty.

yes getting more and more of there delivered scanned stuff , mind you its that time of the year again when these companys come crawling back because they and there other couriers cant cope with delivering there stuff. .

Same here. Levels of packets/parcels throughout the "quiet" Summer months have been similar to Christmas level 5 or 6 years ago.

our office has lost the amazon contract but over the last few weeks we have been getting lots of amazon parcels

Amazon have been setting up their own distribution network around the country for the last few years, but they need RM to do some of their parcel deliveries.

We get about 5 or so large Amazon parcels on average per duty but loads of the DVD sized parcels.

Yes and it's as if we have to pull out all the stops to please them, nearly every day we're getting told make sure you scan all the delivered scanned items, if it's tracked then try every neighbour you can find just to get it delivered !

All the dvd sized parcels ive seen amazon drivers delivering have come back to our office recently, not the big ones except for a few prime ones that have come as special deliverie, obviously cos no amazon driver in the area that day, Love carding them ones

As an example, we have around 1000 Amazon tracked items for scanning and processing just on a Sunday night alone, all year round, all inward items.
