Just wondering if it's a yes vote for strike action when would the strike be im presumming November sometime.

The earliest we could take strike action is 19th October. The question will be 24 or 48 hour stoppage. Everyone out at the same time as for many this will be their first strike.

The expected high YES vote will have already proven that by then?
I presume the 1st strike dates will be announced after RM have contemplated the ballot result and not shifted their position significantly and in that context a 24hr strike would be a self financing Bank Holiday.

So what's the score with a strike landing on a postie's day off? Just talking in general terms here

48hrs would be good preferably to include a Saturday, it's now one of the busiest days of the week. Least if you're losing pay you can enjoy the weekend with family and friends

Although you are on strike you must still show up at the gate. It is not a holiday.

You will get full pay if on AL. As for your day off, the Union will rotate the day of the strike each week so everyone is affected.
