Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
What are your 3 main reasons for voting yes to strike action.
You never know the cwu & royal mail might just look on here & see what the members/colleagues are really miffed about & try to address the concerns.
1, Pension. Not accepting RM pension proposal.
2, Walk ownership. No way covering leave/sick with no finish time without pay.
3, Lump sum payment. Want a decent % pay rise which is added to basic pay & appropriate allowances.

From a P/T'er on the DC pension scheme:
1. Regardless of the RM proposals for the old DB, the fact that RM propose to contribute 13.6% to their new idea of a pension
compared to a proposed maximum of 10% for those in the DC - how is that equal? (And the tone of their letter
received through the post today "If there is industrial action, the current offer from Royal Mail will be taken off the table".)
2. No accounting for previous hours worked when paying holiday pay.
3. No pension contributions on 39+ hours (not that I've worked more than 39 hours since Christmas).

Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
1, Later Finish Times. Mail not arriving till after 11.00 for sorting not getting out till gone 12.00 Last Letter Delivery 17.00 - Which will be more like 18.00 and beyond.
2, Walk ownership. Covering holiday leave/sick which you must complete and go over without pay. More lapsing of more rounds.
3, Pay Increase. To Many strings attached Pushing you to work faster and faster. Work Load is Unrealistic.
YES VOTE FROM ME.
Here is a ------- 4th, BULLYING BULLYING BULLYING by Management...Pushing you to do extra all the time. 5,6,7,8 ------ 3 is not enough
What is wrong with a simple straight forward basic pay rise of 2% - 3% (Backdated), With no strings attached. Its not a lot to ask for is it.

Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
1. Route ownership & Team working - It's not ownership, it's slave labour. Guaranteed that you'll be working significantly more hours on average than your paid for throughout the year.
2. Later start times - I think Royal Mail forget that employees are also customers, I don't want to order a parcel one day to possibly receive it after tea time the next day. I'd rather order it early enough to receive it in the afternoon or before.
3. No % pay rise in line with inflation - Inflation is rising and the cost of everything is going up and we're being ripped off with a measly lump sum (not a genuine % offer) that has too many strings attached to list. And to be offered an under inflation % rise linked to performance for the next 3 years is a joke, hold on RM the world economy will stop until you say go.
Since Royal Mail is doing so well, how about a year on year % rise in line with inflation and a BONUS linked to performance?

Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
1. The threat to move the pipeline and the later finishing times.
2. I don't want to 'own' my round and all that this entails.
3. The 2-tier pension proposals. All should be on the same.
Pay offer would probably come in @ 4 for me personally.

Interesting that the pension proposal isn't getting much mention.
Suppose it is the old it's too far into the future to care about scenario.

Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
1. Get off my pension
2. Put everyone on the same terms (could be crucial in the future, divide and conquer and all)
3. Competing with cheap couriers instead of growing the brand.

And another two ;
4. All the propaganda we've been sent on a near daily basis
5. To make a stand against the Tory's new anti-union laws.

Your top 3 reasons for voting yes.
1; Because of failure by Royal Mail to adhere to agreements, especially in regard to reviews to increase part time hours, & offer permanent contracts. Also it is agreed to reduce agency & casual staff. “Agency staff are only intended to cover short term, no more than 12 weeks".
2; Because I believe it is unfair to give inferior contracts to new starters (One month rolling is the latest idea) contrary to agreement " The Company will not engage any new Employee after the date of this Agreement on terms and conditions which are in any material respect inferior to the terms and conditions of employment of existing equivalent Employees of the same grade who are working to the same
job description immediately before the engagement."
3; Because I believe a compromise on the two tier pension would have a better chance of success with a resounding yes vote.
