I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Well the deadline for return submissions is 12pm Oct 3rd. So if you haven't got yours by the middle of next week I would inquire with the union.

It was a big YES from me!

Part of the reason I joined Royal Mail was for the ideal working hours. We've now been told that only new starters will be working later hours with current employees being given the option of being flexible with working hours. How long until this so called flexibility would be enforced on us all?

You only have to look at the agreement that was made with Royal Mail and the CWU regarding the defined benefit scheme. Employees that started before 2008 were told they'd be kept in the DB scheme if they sold out all the people that were yet to join RMG. So they sold them out and it's no surprise that Royal Mail are now stabbing all these loyal employees in the back by closing the DB scheme next year.

History WILL repeat itself if we don't stand up for ourselves and our future colleagues.

Last letter Delivery at 17.00 hours. Not getting out till gone 12.00, As mail not arriving till beyond 11.00 for sorting.
With the size of my delivery I don't think I will be finished till 18.00 hours. Delivering in the dark again in winter.

Walk ownership of duties where you have to lapse even more duties for sick and holiday covers etc. Which you must complete. No option to say No, Work over etc !!!

Got my Ballot paper yesterday and posted it back within minutes. BIG FAT YES VOTE FROM ME. :nana
