Crazy to vote NO.

I find it hard to believe that if it was a NO vote that Royal Mail would even slightly honour their crappy side-offer.

"What's that, you said no ... well what are you going to do about this then ..." (ripping noise).

Please just consider it before voting no, are you sure you want a carte blanche?

May sound strange but everybody should vote yes even if they don't want or intend going on strike. The general feedback from on here and at work is that it will be a yes vote. So the best chance of avoiding strike action is to get a huge yes vote in. Moya and her cronies would have to negotiate properly if that happened or suffer a shareholder backlash!

What few concessions are they likely to consider?

Both sides are negotiating an attack on our pensions.
The technology isn't going to go away, ( as Tam Dewar rightly points out - this is a union that has negotiated 80 000 jobs out of the business in the last 10 years) so more jobs are going and the pipeline will probably move backwards.
The USO is being eroded (one collection/day in the morning) and will come under further attacks.

What concessions are you prepared to consider?

I think there are shareholders who don't like the Agenda For Growth and would like to do away with the guarantees within it.
It stops them maximising profits. If they feel the only way to get rid of them is to get rid of the CWU as well .......

I am sure the miners believed the same of the NUM.

It had around 170,000 members in 1981, a figure which had fallen in 2015 to an active membership of around 100.

They didn't get rid of the NUM, they got rid of the miners.

All those attributes would be to the detriment of the service that royal mail offer. Because offering a service is secondary to having a business that makes as much money as possible.

With 3000 years of coal under our great country self sufficient in energy if we could make it as clean as gas oil or even nuclear power great job maggie by destroying an industry for the sake of taking one man down you put all our electricity bills up and gas because we use more of that now and we have to buy it from abroad! Well can see May now rubbing her hands just to make a point but the point is this capitalism only works for the very few so Moya wreck royalmail will just jump ship to DHL or TNT you don't care like maggie did not or Ian MacGregor just go and go now!
