Here in the UK we have had the lowest wage ''growth'' in the whole of Europe for the last 10 years (-10.4%)...

It's interesting to see the that growth of postal workers wages has been even LOWER than the UK average...

Says the TUC. I wonder if they based their alleged "number-crunching" on that same flawed report which came out prior to the last GE, the one which claimed that the UK had as poor a wages and economy improvement progress since 2008 as Greece, and which was subsequently shown to be no more than "fake news" ?
What was worse , the report's author knew it wasn't accurate but released it anyway.

One flawed report doesn't refute all the other evidence.

UK wages are falling, and have plummeted since the Brexit vote. Whether or not you choose to believe something doesn't make it true or false.

The usual "Look how bad Brexit's been for us" stats, and that's the basis of this series of graphs.

The ludicrous claim was made that wages have "plummeted".
Have ours plummeted, or that of anyone we know, or any group or type of workers?
Inflation eats away at everyone's wages, hence wage rises, but "plummeted"?
Over-wrought nonsense, and I thought more of the TUC than to attempt to prove it's case by such stats-picking.

In the first graph the red line shows AWE, average weekly earnings.
And these graphs weren't from the TUC, they were from the Government's Office of National Statistics..

Yes, I can see they're from the ONS (the same ONS that predicted the election result so spectacularly incorrectly, and is "independent" not a government agency) but the campaign is a TUC one using these same stats.

Whatever the source, they still don't show "plummeting" wages...

It was a Government Department until 2005, when Gordon Brown made it an 'independent agency', which meant it is not a ministerial department but reports directly to Parliament. It still comes under https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... statistics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which would indicate that it is still a government organisation.
So why wouldn't the TUC use it's statistics if it is 'independent'?
