Pain in the neck

Post by dingdongdoo »

So I left Royal Mail as a Postman after 13 years service. That was 9 years ago. I am 46 now.

I quite often woke up with a 'crick in the neck' during my time as a Postie - that was sore, restricted movement and went away after a few days. Never thought much of it.

Nowadays my neck always seems sore if I turn my head to one side, and the muscles in my left shoulder (where I carried my bag) are rock hard and bigger than the other side.

I tried a sports massage the other day, and the guy said the muscle was incredibly hard and tight and likely caused by the job?

I am wondering if its worth pursuing a claim for this?

Has anyone else had a similar pain from past years in the job?

Moved to blue shirts forum.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Be difficult to prove I would have thought after leaving 9 years ago.
