Hgv applications

Been in the job since school, now due to limbs wearing out I was thinking of going on the lorries.
Is it an internal application or do RM source from outside the company?

I'm thinking of doing the same, my mates just on at the local hgv depot, he paid for his own class 1&2. Then he worked there on extra shifts days off to get his foot in the door.

I wouldn't mind moving into that either. Not saying it's easy but gotta be easier than on delivery.

Unless you are lucky to get on at a decent firm,it's a nightmare,I gave it up a while ago.why do you think there is a massive shortage of HGV drivers ?

If anything things doing HGV is easier than working as a postie try it but I guarantee you will find it hard u are given set times to get to destination if your not there on time there not interested in traffic on the motorway your route your problem end of, some company's even dock your pay if you arrive late for a drop

Add to that the struggle to find somewhere to park up that's safe,not stinking off urine and other stuff,waking up to find your trailer has been broken into,or the pykey's have stolen your diesel,rushing to meet a deadline only to hear the firm tell you "not now driver your too late,park up till tomorrow",but don't let me put you off lol.
