CWU GRAPEVINE
A manager in a very large Delivery Office has refused to read out Royal Mail comms on the dispute and was heard saying 'it's not Christmas and I'm not a Turkey - I'm relying on the CWU to protect my pension so won't be working against them'
Don't let your manager off lightly - tell them the only chance to save their pension is by backing your union and the Four Pillars campaign

our DOM said the same thing to me, we have got a WTLL session tomorrow where we will watch an all star cast tell us on Video why there is no fight to pick.

10 minutes before that I will have told everyone to Vote YES on the forthcoming ballot paper, we need a massive turn out and a massive yes vote to mate Moya and her mob really sit up and take notice.

Vote yes to strike action and there will probably be no strike at all.

Same in our office today , the manager at WTLL said he wouldn't be putting the Propaganda Video on for us to watch

I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand its great that a manager can show a bit of initiative, but on the other its sad that they can only show that iniative when its there own interests that are at stake.

We don't get the videos but we have been getting quite a few RMG propoganda leaflets through lately. I wonder if it would be an idea to ask the manager if they could be 'lost in the post' ?
Unfortunately I fear that my manager is such a 'yes sir no sir three bags full sir'/totally devoid of initiative type (even when it impinges on his own interests), that it would be a waste of my breath.

We watch the videos week in, week out without fail. This week is the first time in ages we haven't. Perhaps a good sign. Our latest manager seems a pretty good dude to be fair so might be on the same page.

DOM told us this morning that now Royal Mail has been dropped from FTSE 100, it would be suicide if we went out on strike.

This has been on the cards for sometime now, do not read anything into this, the point of no return (short-term) is when the CWU announces a Ballot for Industrial Action
