As part of a team responsible for sourcing, mapping and extracting data from a wide variety of source systems you will gain an understanding of the data warehouse and data model at Royal Mail group.
You will as design, develop, test and deploy business intelligence reporting solutions, delivering both tactical and strategic developments across multiple stakeholders, tool sets and data sources you will also input into planning and estimation in agile framework.
You will be supporting GBI business partners with SQL, statistical analysis, excel data science requirements as well as ad hoc requests for data science requirements where appropriate.

In other words, a job for someone who hasn't a scooby for what's going on at ground level.
I read today that we should give ourselves a pat on the back, we had 95% of all mail being delivered, over the 93% target! Whoopdedoo! We deliver everything we get at our DO, so why isn't this registering at 100%. We do our jobs, but not getting the 'credit'

I don't understand why they say the technology group is split into 8 towers and then go on to list 9. I assume the teradata analyst will be in the Data Roles "tower".

Royal Mail are trialling data capture technology at 4 delivery offices an RDC and a mailcentre. Royal Mail want to introduce a system of measured work hours, somebody has to crunch those numbers.....
