i have a 24 hour contract
last november i was asked if i wanted more hours
obviously i said yes
i found out before xmas that some ( junior to me ) had already been upgraded to 30/35 hours
i kept asking and was always told its with so and so ( senior managers )
so i waited patiently
next i found my name wasn't even on the list because I ( yes me ) had requested my contracted hours
i never have done this, in fact i probably average more than 40 hours a week
more like 60 last 2 month
i was furious about this and demanded they put me back on the list and again waited
getting fed up of put downs i put in a grievance 1
it was turned down suggesting royal mail are saving hours etc
my rep put in stage 2
eventually my rep informed me it had been agreed that i would get 36 hours
just my luck i was annual leave the next week and got 24 hours ( in fact i even worked one day to bump it up )
i asked my dom the next week saying xxx had emailed my rep authorising 36 hours and he said i'm seeing him thursday, leave it with me
i did and nothing happened
now almost 3 months later, i'm still going round in circles
xxx has changed jobs, and seems uncontactable
my acting dom passes messages onto his boss who tells me she knows nothing and see my acting dom
my rep lost the email
i didnt get a reply from the stage 2 myself
how can they get away with this
its bullying by omission if nothing else
what can i do ?
who can i get to solve this ?
