EVR

Hi all.I was employed by Royal Mail from 1994-2003.I applied for EVR in 2003.Worked in a factory for a number of years and am now unemployed.I would like to reapply to join Royal Mail what are my chances having took EVR? Would appreciate any advice.Thanks.

Did you take EVR (Early Voluntary Retirement), ie retired from RM with a RM pension, or VR (Voluntary Redundancy), ie leaving RM with just a redundancy lump sum payoff?
If you are receiving a RM pension you would not be able to take up permanent employment with RM again, though you might be employed as a casual or agency temp.
If you only got a redundancy lump sum you can apply to be employed again 2 years after leaving. Most vacancies in delivery are now part time now though.

You wait for RM to offer it, then apply and if there are more volunteers than slots it will depend on seniority.

Speak to your Dom who will ignore you,me and another guy keen to go after 36 years,or job share but nothing yet,just sit tight and voice your interest I guess unless e Mail some other manager or director vin charge of something
