Wont go into to much detail,but having major problems with our 14 year old son,he has been diagnosed with something,and could be another one or two problems,i am so stressed at the moment,feel burnt out etc,prob going to docs next week,which is hard for me.There is a strong possibility my son could be going to a residential school,so he could be away mon-fri and home weekends,it will break our hearts but we will fight to get him sorted,i am going to want a bit of father and son time and bonding at weekends,if I explain the situation to my dom could I work mon- fri every week,and have sat/sun off,this will not be permanent it will be temporary,once my son hopefully gets sorted I would go back to my rotating day off,will my dom agree to this,work in a small office.

I believe you have the right to request a family friendly duty structure.
The business has to consider your request but doesn't have to accede,
Get the rep involved. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

we have a person in our DO who has every tuesday off due to childcare issues, the whole office was asked their opinion and even though a few grumbled, they were allowed to have the Tuesdays off.

You're entitled to have a meeting with your DOM to discuss this.

Or you can go off sick due to the stress all this has caused give yourself a well earned break
