Pullinger comes over very well and knows that his strength is obtained from the backing of the members.
Royal mail have the financial resources to put their case ours comes through the structure of the union, the local, area and divisional reps. As TP says its really important we keep these conversations going. Frontline staff probably meet more of the public in a day that the executives meet in a year. For example we know that the public have never really accepted the once over the ground delivery as they still expect their post before noon! A move to 9-5 would be a public relations and consequently a revenue disaster.

Lets hope the CWU look on here for me the culture of the now business once great service I worked for and still do should be challenged for to many managers it is a licence to bully and threaten staff for their own ends. If non of this changes all talks of strikes the future of this now business will be lost forever for those who will do the job long after I will and it will be a sad day for those who will do so in the future!

one of my concerns is that RM have taken somethings off the table.e.g.,monthly pay not getting paid sick leave.but we havent been told how long for?. 3 years?.for ever?.one year?.this should be clarified.this could be ruse to push through pension reform.and re-introduced later
