Left-handed frame??

The manager made a comment today whilst I was throwing off my walksort. " can't you go a bit quicker?". I replied that being left handed i find it a little awkward throwing it off right- handed.My question is, Is it possible to request my frame to be adapted for a leftie?

The problem would be that while you might save a few minutes were your frame adapted, your day-off cover and any reserves covering the duty (which is going to happen nearly 25% of the time allowing for your days off and holidays) will likely lose more time unless they happen to be left-handed also. And of course they are likely to be slower prepping the walk anyway.

So overall it's probably not worthwhile.

I was told when I started that the whole of Royal Mail is geared up for right handers and if you're left handed you just have to adapt to it. There is no provision for left handers.

you can prep job opposite way.. it just means you do loops opposite side to how your walking now..

Of course it is serious!! Think about it you right handers. Us right handers grab the letter by the right hand side of the envelope and put it in the frame, therefore the address facing the left hand side of the frame. Bundling up is straight forward. If you are left handed you would take the letter by the left hand side, prep it in the frame with the address facing right, so when you bundle up, all the letters are facing the wrong way. Royal Mail does not cater for left handers.

Yes it is. Ideally for a leftie we would put the letter in the frame with our left hand, for the addess to face the right way we would have to fill the frame from right to left.

Yes, that would be ideal, however i don't think my day off cover would/ should be able to adapt.
( although left-handers are expected to do so)

I'm left handed but never even thought about it, but I do a few things right handed like hold a knife and fork so must be a bit ambidextrous.

A guy invented a left handed hammer. Didn't sell though because there weren't any left-handed nails

I also use a knife and fork right- handed and do many other things right-handed, but i bet you throw your d2ds in with your left hand
