Royal Mail Board, putting our jobs at risk and fines from Ofcom.

The RM board are a disgrace and are now putting everyone's job at risk due to fines from Ofcom for USO failures. They have no vision and just want to cut and cut and are slowly dismantling the service we provide.
I have no faith in this shower s**t and they prove this everyday with their inconsistences.

The strikes can't come quick enough for me as these people need a serious kicking.

Ofcom are more to blame than RM imo, opening up competition to RM is fine, but dont tie one hand tied behind RMs back, its this is what is making the business unprofitable and this all the cost cutting.

Ofcom didn't open up the market it was the Government back in 1993 who agreed to fully liberalise the UK postal market by 2011.

Your not wrong but ill tell you why there doing what there doing they cant accept its getting busier the pCkets are now up 50 percent from last year accoring to our doms figures and there running the ppace into the ground and not putting anything on there docket sheets so it looka like the office is running smoothly and they dont have to make peoples contracts up and the union are standing by watching it happen hoping they can look after there full timers whwn this deal comes

Ofcom follow the guidelines set out by Government, Ofcom are nothing to do with the decision taken by the board to stop recruiting new staff. RM need fining for not providing the USO.

Don't get bogged down with Ofcom.

Exactly. Why do they pay some part timers 2hrs docket to come in early for ips and then turn a blind eye when they go home an hr or more early, while some walks are claiming an hr+ just to get their duty finished. It's utter madness. I know mail levels fluctuate and it's impossible for us all to work our exact hrs......but it should be much much more even and I'm sure our office isn't unique in this practice.

At least they're not ghosting when they come in early. Lots of overtime going where some are doing their duty and half a walk on overtime within their normal time and being paid for 3 hours whilst sitting at home. Not going to lie, I've done it, many times.
