Vigilante I know you are passionate against the agreement but surely you can find better sources on the Socialist workers party??!!

I bumped into one of them at the rally a couple of weeks ago and the lady said 'you must fight back against the low pay rises' - I asked what union she was from. She saif Royal college of nurses. I said haven't you just accepted 1.9% over 18months??

Enough said. We don't need hangers on. this is a postal dispute. Lets keep those idiots out of it!

As has been said, you have to think about the consequences of a no vote should that be the result.

9:5 split in the exec. union vote seems to indicate to me that this "final agreement" was not, in any way, clear cut. There are people telling us here that we could do better. It's down to the rank and file now to have the strength and conviction to speak up and say what they feel on the ballot paper. I would just hope that people REALLY understand the document that is to be voted on, it challenges me with it's twists and "see phase whatever" quotes, there needs to be CLARITY.

We seem to have aplentiful supply of "idiots" within our own this is a good deal ranks.

How are we better off with this agreement? True we could have been worse off ,they could have insisted we had a delivery pouch surgically implanted under each arm. but forgive me if I don,t paint the town red cos I negotiated them down to a single armpit pouch, this being the real modernising do as you say guv ain't I lucky to have ajob being exploited by you guv world

Yeah ok I know where you're coming from with this but for me, and many others I've spoken to during the past few months, this has never really been about the pay rise . . . . . ok we all want a bit more, but won't we always . . . . . it's the complete destruction of the job I love that bothers me . . . . . . the wanting me to be at the beck and call of Royal Mail at any time they choose and therefore destroying my social life too . . . . . I'll take the 2.5% today just don't expect me to accept the drastic changes so easily.

I will be voting no to this shady deal,please tell me what is different to the original proposal except local agreements which in my opinion are worse,excluding pensions and D2D to be agreed and voted on at later date are we going to go on strike if pensions deal is crap same for D2D.It is beyond belief that ward and the PEC thought this was acceptable.

It's a hard call that's for sure. I've looked at the posts on this and the thing I find is that everyone can tell you they don't like it but don't seem to offer an alternative. Short of leaving things as they are and that ain't gonna happen, what are we going to do. As I see it and I won't be popular for saying it. The choice is the deal with CWU involvement in the changes at all levels or we are back out on the streets with management running riot in the offices imposing change by executive action. RM don't want a yes vote, they don't want the union in the workplace. Why do you think they left it until now to announce Crozier's pay deal? just before the ballot - coincidence? No way! they want to get our backs up
