Walksorted mail late yet again

We start at 6.15 am and usually walksorted mail is there to sort.
So why do Gatwick Mail Ctr started cancelling vans on a regular basis and we have to wait another 90 mins to start prepping our frames.
Is it down to lack of drivers or vans ??
Or maybe a cost cutting exercise but whatever reason it is , it is causing mail deliveries to be late meaning no lapsing done and cut offs.
So if Gatwick Mail Ctr think they are saving money in one hand it is being taken out again by Delivery in O/T payments

They're gearing you up for a later start

The mail centres are in summer mode now too (less staff, lapsing duties etc etc) and some of their 'plans' aren't working too well

Had ours come in from Gatwick and the guy didn't even know how to push a Yorke , we had to explain to him the break was on

Same here. We used to start at 6:45. We now start at 8:00 and they're talking about putting it forward to 8:30. It amazes me that with millions spent on new technology and "falling mail volumes" everything seems to be less efficient.

If you're scheduled for x o'clock until x' oclock and the mail doesn't arrive til z o'clock, then that is management problem.

Our MC did this to us for a while as they wanted their driver to be able to do a collection after. Thankfully the union shot down the proposal to shift the entire office start times just to accommodate one person.
