Sunday SA

We open Sundays and it is paid as SA. I do it on a 1 in 4 rota. When I am next due on it I am on annual leave, do I still get paid it even though it woild have to be covered by someo else?

if you have signed for a sa then you still get paid when on leave . don't get it when off sick tho . usually a one month binding contact for you to get out of it or for r m to cancel it

Do you have a SA agreement? What does it say?
If not, you would be paid the average of the last 4 weeks.

Short answer is yes. If you've signed for it, you will get paid for it on your annual leave, even though someone else is covering it. The person covering it will get paid too.

how can you be on annual leave on a Sunday?

If you work it once every 4 weeks you will get a quarter of the hours paid each time you're on holiday. So if you normally work 8 hrs on the SA you would get paid for 2hrs. The SA Holiday pay is paid to you once for each week of your basic holiday entitlement. You do not get it for any purchased holiday.

Because some people like me need the money & its nearly double pay, if I had my way Sunday would be incorporated into the working week like everybody else, RM is so far behind the times.
