Formal Conduct Meeting
Hey guys, i had an accident were I scraped and dented the van and after an informal discussion last week, it's gone on to be a formal meeting where I'm being charged with misconduct!!! It's on the letter that I have never no other discrepancies against me and he will take account of that! What level of punishment can I expect? I'm really worried!

You aren't supposed to be conducted as far as genuine accidents go when driving. You will be put on refresher training.
Out of interest was an Erica (accident report) filled out within 24 hours of the incident?

Formal Conduct Meeting
For a start your line manager is using the wrong procedure for RTA.Bunsen1burner wrote:Hey guys, i had an accident were I scraped and dented the van and after an informal discussion last week, it's gone on to be a formal meeting where I'm being charged with misconduct!!! It has been well posted that the conduct procedure WILL NOT be used as a mechanism for the reporting of RTA unless their are persistent occurrences within a 12 month period.
An ERICA must be completed within 24 hours of the accident. This will be followed by a fact finding interview to establish if a blameworthy is applicable. You will receive further correspondence to complete which is a solicitors questionnaire should the 3rd party ( if any) should raise a claim against RM. You will also be notified to notify your private insurance of the accident. Following on from the FF meeting and once you have received the notes and return with any amendments you will receive an invitation letter to attend a further meeting giving the mangers decision as to the RTA. If you unfortunately you receive a blameworthy you will be required to attend a reassessment course to correct any faults in relation to your driving.
The charge of misconduct is inappropriate and the reassessment is not a punitive action.
Need to inform your union rep to get involved in this as manager has followed an incorrect procedure.
Don't worry your manager has got it all wrong.

Formal Conduct Meeting
I had an accident and my DOM tried to get me put on a one year serious saying he had seen me driving dangerously twice which was bs. The manager interviewing me to be fair didn't see his point of view and the union rep just threw out anything he said as it didn't relate to the incident.
In the end i had to go on a four hour driving assessment which I got paid 4 hours for
