MONDAY SA CANCELLED!

Hi, We have in our office a 6.5 hour SA duty every Saturday and Monday. The people who cover this duty all have signed SA contracts. Next Monday because we only have a few people on leave we have surplus staff so the duty is covered. The new manager has basically said tough luck the SA is cancelled. Is this correct? should the SA payment still be paid? Thanks in advance.

if you have signed a sa contract they and you have to give 1 month notice to end contract. you still get paid it even on holidays.

Yes, 28 days notice needs to be given.

They don't want to end the contracts they just don't want to pay 6.5 hours for Monday when all duties are covered.
