I never do this, always a 739 card if they are not in. This is yet another RM senior management bad decision and it's only to stop the piling up of parcels at the depot because you're out delivering later so you miss all the customers.

Don't have the time, I would have to leave a loop or two everyday in order to do this. And if you don't feel its a safe place, you don't do it.

There is no reason for anyone to be bringing back scores of undelivered iterms. We should all be aiming to achieve 100% first time delivery rates for all items not exempt from Delivery to Neighbour.

To choose not to do it because you personally don't agree or you simply can't be bothered is not acceptable and should rightly be subject to the conduct code.

I'm afraid it's not part of the job if you don't think it's a safe place. Time has not been built in to delivery to cater for this and management know it.

Don't have the time, I would have to leave a loop or two everyday in order to do this. And if you don't feel its a safe place, you don't do it.

Claiming you don't have time to do it is a poor excuse. It can be quicker to deliver a parcel to a neighbour who is at their door offering to take the item in than the time taken to write out a P739 and deal with undelivered items on your return to the delivery office.

The only items that can be left in a designated safe place are tracked items but only if it is stated on the item and the safe place is secure. If it is not then you should try delivering to a neighbour.

Be sensible. Clearly if the delivery point is an isolated property in the middle of nowhere with no neighbouring properties in close proximity, then what do you think you should do?

Delivering to neighbours used to be OK to start with but now it doesn't happen because they have had enough of being used as a delivery point for the same people who order shitloads and are never in.
Even Couriors have resorted to throwing parcels over gates and doorstepping.

Probably your best bet is to do it, then cut off when you run out of time. It just means you'll leave just as much if not more through cutting off
