How long do you think it will be around for? And can you see Royal Mail reducing the offers, I think the most you can get is 104 weeks

They are trying to reduce mtsf payments in the allegedly ongoing talks.

It was mentioned in the pension review booklet we received in January, where it said:
23. What happens if I am made redundant – what impact does the Company’s proposal have on me? The Company’s proposal is that only cash compensation would be payable from 1 April 2018. However, we would have separate discussions with our unions about the impact of the proposed changes where redundancy arrangements are governed by collective agreements before making any final decision.
I take that to mean Early Voluntary Retirement(EVR) would no longer be an option, but Voluntary Redundancy(VR) would potentially still be on the table. But probably with lower pay outs.

evr will come before vr as the company need to clear out the old to fetch in the young runners on part time contracts :cuppa

EVR has previously been a very costly exercise for RM and as they want to save money wherever they can, they have already made the terms less attractive. If RM's original pension proposals are implemented, it looks likely that EVR will not be an option at all after April 2018.

They offered EVR. I put in for it. They took the offer away!! Never Ever Trust RM!!
