Courier crap

Received the latest edition of "courier" today
Has a 2 page spread on The current Royal Mail V CWU negotiations, as per usual bullshit they write up it's not Royal Mail or CWU paying our wages it's the customer so everything they are setting out to do is for the customer ????

What a load of SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHIIIITTTT

if that was a genuine statement then customers all over the uk would absolutely prefer deliveries early as possible and not at later times like Royal Mail want to bring in, this company is so backwards at times !!!!!

Every courier company has "drops" so you could be between drop 1 - drop 120+ drivers work at difference pace, if you can get your drops done 20 per hour then your parcel will be within a 6hr window unless you have paid premium delivery like DPD with an allocation time.

Surely to make us different from competition why not have us out early delivering from say 730am until 11am have special deliverys changed to 12pm.
Most deliverys take upto 3hrs + so plenty of time.

Other couriers don't begin delivery until 9/10am onwards working right the way through until 6/7/8 even 9pm

To make us different we would gaurentee to have Royal Mail items delivered by 12pm daily !!!

no other courier firm could offer this unless its paid for !!!!
And it's not cheap paying for DPD timed delivery.

It just seems the powers to be havnt got a clue on how we can grow as a business, the one comment I get sick of is "late today postie"

Royal Mail was Always a company who delivered early doors. It feels like this is gonna get messy with the upcoming negotiations.

If we're so bothered about the customer then why are we told to not bother delivering packets in order to do lapsing instead. This company couldn't run a bath!

If RM move the pipeline back a couple of hours because of later acceptance, hardly any, if any DOs will get any of their mail before 09:00, for some it could end up being towards 11:00 by the time the lorries make it through to the DOs

Sadly, as far as RM are concerned, the customer is who sends the item, not who receives it.

I'm starting to think you are a wierd fish. First you cut off because of a slow colleague, now you come out as a courier reader who gets angry at the articles within? Just stick it in the bin. Do you get angry when you get d2d as well but then spend the time to read them, maybe look up some of the products / companies on the internet and then get incensed at the bollox you have to deal with and then sign up on the company website so you can say so?

Unfortunately my super slow friend has called in sick the past two days probably to the line managers relief that he didn't have to come out to Finnish of the delivery
As the person I was with yesterday and today is a decent worker, so all has been good on the cutting off.

Unfortunately everything has gone quiet from the CWU so I have to get my information from the wonderful courier :-)

As for D2Ds I find the non change of prices on farmfoods leaflets not very satisfying although I do enjoy the Dominos pizza ones as I tend to get discount at my local Dominos by showing them my Royal Mail staff pass

As you always make good time maybe you could also get a part time evening job delivering pizzas. It would be your own car, not having to share with anyone.

The nearest Dominos is in the town, 5miles away from our office.
For some reason staff at our office get discount when they say the work for RM upon ordering.
I have no idea what or if an agreement is in place but somebody has worked their magic to get us the discount

3 hrs + deliverys so plenty of time so what planet is that on ? ours is more like 6 - 7 hrs delivery and we don't have no time , and we also struggle to get the 1pm specials done so 12 pm wouldn't happen.
