Quick question;
Is their an agreed percentage of walks that have had a change before a resign can happen?
Their is a reason for the question.
Thanks

As per way forward agreement a major change is when 33 1/3 % of the total duties have been affected by change. Duty holders of walks not affected by change can volunteer to put their walks into the resign pot. Holders of duties who have not completed the 12 month duration cannot take part in the resign unless their duty has been impacted by change. Certain duties will be ring fenced to accommodate employees covered by the Equality Act and tailored to meet their diagnosed medical condition.hampshireman wrote:Quick question;

Is their anyway the DOM can force through a re sign; coz that is his wish ... for budget reasons.
And also ; would a local vote hold sway over National Agreements. The reason I ask is that I think that because of the divide in the office it will personal agendas will come to the fore.
Many thanks

No. All local agreements and arrangements must comply with National Agreements.

The duties are the property of RMG and how they are managed is through various agreements negotiated between RM and CWU. You mention a resign on budget reasons. If this is changing duties and the re-plotting of walks and delivery spans to align with that individuals contracted hours then this seems to be happening throughout the business targeting seniority and long serving employees. If DOM was to push for a resign on this arrangement then this would be counteracted within the IR Framework and the Agenda for Growth and Stability and long term success agreement and the legal bindings contained within in relation to the proportion of FT staff to PT staff. This is when your local/area rep comes in to challenge your DOM by lodging a disagreement until a mutual and satisfactory conclusion is implemented.

So if a duty isn't changed then it doesn't have to be put in the resign pot, i.e. the current duty holder can keep it?
