Does anybody know what the HMRC allowance is for uniform cleaning?

If your occupation isn’t listed, you may still be able to claim a standard annual amount of £60 in tax relief.

is this applied automatically or do you need to go through some hoops?

Speak to the tax office and explain about your job. I think they can backdate it 4 years for any other jobs you had using a uniform. I think when might got backdated I got approx £60. Better than nothing.lightningpostman wrote:is this applied automatically or do you need to go through some hoops?
