management came round this morning giving out more courier newsflash flyers with the heading..''royal mail-cwu talks''. surprise surprise, its exactly the same shite they've put out the last 4 or 5 times. ''management or the union don't pay our wages, the customer does''... ''mail is declining''... ''revenue is down''.. ''even threat of strike will damage us'' ...''sorry we have to close pension'' ...''they pay out 100m on sick pay''... ''the deal they are offering is good''... blah blah blah, etc etc. they are using the same crap to browbeat us and its getting to the point of harassment. did anyone else get this today? I only hope the union responds to pour scorn and ridicule on their claims. if it was a good deal it would have been accepted. and again i'll ask, WHY do they NEVER mention the money they make from D2Ds. ive heard its a billion quid. strike is the only way they listen.

bullshit alert then , they want to cut sick pay ? look at the reasons the sick maybe high , wear and tear on the body , knees , feet , hips , stress , and its all down to royal mail unmanageable workloads , b&h from dims , and they want to increase the outdoor , hahaha , oh yer I forgot the declining mail , do they think we are all idiots to believe all that s**t , ermmm NO .

Totally agree mate , if you drive your car all the time at 30 mph it'll last years , now drive it all the time at 90 mph and see how long it lasts

Im not buying into Royal Mail's doom and gloom strategy, and because conditions are that bad now what with staff going on sick through stress and managers expected to 'lapse' their duties to the detrimental health and morale of everyone else who have working bigger duties for the last 2 years, I am more prepared than ever to strike against the changes that Royal Mail want to make....

The sick absence is the worst its ever been in our place , a lot of the senior guys are now struggling big time . Hips, backs, shoulders ,knees , arguements and stress everywhere . New starts lasting a few weeks or days ,morale low as anything ive seen . is this a modern royal mail ?
