if workload does reduce then look forward to doing more lapsing, so not really something to look forward to.

Luckily I work in an office where it isn't practical to lapse still go out on a bus and use the grey boxes although they are trying to do a revision

Yeah, busiest summer I've ever known (in 17 years) especially pkts, they're more or less at Christmas volumes.

If anything the sequencing on a Monday night (what DOs get through Tuesday morning) is getting busier, when it should be dropping off

I've been with RM for about 5 years and even in that time, every summer has been busier than the last. Every day during the summer was like a light Tuesday when I started, with about 15% call rate. These days, the mail doesn't drop off at all from April/May time, and packets can still be like Christmas on a Wednesday.

It is getting busier. Even a month ago i was getting done 30 mins before finish time with lapsing. But now no lapsing and going over virtually everyday.

Couldn't it simply be busy recently because of the snap election and now we are catching up with non-urgent flats (like the stuff that builds up during Xmas pressure for us to deliver in the new year)?

Usually drops off a bit in the summer when people are outside enjoying the sunshine rather than cooped up indoors ordering stuff online.
