7.5 Tonne changeover
Hi all, I have a C1 license & digi tachograph & cpc. There were recently vacant SA duties on board for MGV. There were 2 SA pieces left that I'm able to do without breaking EU/RTD rules - these were not picked & are still vacant, I was advised by my rep that having the license but no changeover wouldnt stop me applying however the SA would go to MGV first. My SA application was declined as I had not had a changeover. Does anyone have any advice?

Clarification first are you employed by RM as a professional driver or an OPG who has been put through 7.5 tonne driving tuition and completed the 5 modules of the CPC and hold the necessary driver qualification card but undertake 7.7 tonne duties on an ad-hoc basis?LSPOSTIE2012 wrote:Hi all, I have a C1 license & digi tachograph & cpc. Yes I'm employed by RM as a collection driver within the mail centre. I paid for my license etc & completed all CPC modules myself about a year ago but unfortunately not had the opportunity to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle yet. Me & my rep have done research into daily / weekly breaks & mixed driving rules etc... but there is nothing to suggest why I had my application declined.rehabron wrote:Clarification first are you employed by RM as a professional driver or an OPG who has been put through 7.5 tonne driving tuition and completed the 5 modules of the CPC and hold the necessary driver qualification card but undertake 7.7 tonne duties on an ad-hoc basis?LSPOSTIE2012 wrote:Hi all, I have a C1 license & digi tachograph & cpc. The 2 SA duties which are MGV duties would be allocated in the first instance to drivers holding the necessary driving licence to complete these duties and once this has been exhausted would be available to others for applying. You have already stated that completing your collection duty and in addition the SA duty dues not break EU/ GB domestic driving rules which has been investigated by you and your union rep and has no objection to you applying for the vacant SA duty then rep needs to make further enquiries to the individual who has declined your SA application on the reason of having no changeover. The only hindrance I can think of is that you have yet to be assessed by RM for driving 7.5 tonne vehicles but if this has already been done then an explanation would be required for what is meant by having no changeover.LSPOSTIE2012 wrote:Hi all, I have a C1 license & digi tachograph & cpc.
