The results from this year’s Employee Survey are now available.

The survey results include three key index areas: engagement, customer focus, and culture. Our index results in these areas are:
  • Engagement Index: 57 (level with 2016)
    Customer Focus Index: 69 (+2 from 2016)
    Culture Index: 50 (+2 from 2016)
Headline results

Once again, there was a fantastic response to this year’s survey, with more than 117,000 colleagues (83%) taking part.

In many areas, we improved or maintained our scores. You said you feel better informed about how your work area is performing, and understand what is expected of you. You also understand more about how our competitors are performing.

Overall, job satisfaction is now nine points higher than the norm for large organisations in the UK (69 vs. 60). And our motivation score is up by two points.

Areas to improve

Scores related to employee involvement in decision-making, trust in each other, and learning and development have declined. Change management also remains a challenge.

And 27% of colleagues are aware of post-survey actions, compared to 30% in 2016.

Acting on what you have told us is the most important part of the survey process. Speak to your manager or union representative about helping to develop your team’s action plan.

We will post further updates on myroyalmail.com about the Royal Mail Group action plan.

This week, all colleagues will receive a home mailing detailing the results of this year’s Employee Survey.

You can also find out more about the results in RMtv, which is available to watch on Content on Demand now.

In the programme, Kurt Lipman, a member of our People Panel, tells us more about the results, including the areas where we improved our scores and those where we still have work to do.

Your team’s results

Your manager now has your team’s results, and will be sharing them soon.

Acting on the results is the most important part of the survey process. We want as many people as possible to get involved.

Please speak to your manager or union rep about how you can help develop your team’s action plan.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

My 'team' ? No, sorry you've lost me already.

Shocking how this company has to lie to its workforce so much. So everything is rosy then is it?

Motivation is up? Not in my office, and from what I read on this site, not in many others. Its either been rigged to look good or people just ticked boxes without reading as they were being watched by a Line Manager as in my office.

It is about time we stopped taking part in this load of nonsense..
They twist the results every year to make it sound positive,,

The best reacion we could get would be a very very low response rate IMO

You say it best, when you say nothing at all ????

the reason the f***ers got a better return than last year was because you couldnt take it out the office , but funny enough mine still found my blue bin , like every year , lol
