D2d not been done

I have been off sick for 2 weeks and my duty has been on overtime. I have been told by a colleague that none of the d2d items were done. When I return on Tuesday there will be 10 items the Dom expects me to prep and deliver!! Advice in advance please.

Tell your DOM that YOU expect to work to your time!

Tell him politely it ain't happening!! That should have been addressed during your absence not now,it's not your worry at all,stay firm and just see what they say ,what should be done and what will be done are miles apart

RM have a contractual obligation to deliver D2D in the week specified.
Delivering them at any other time may be pointless - if promotions have finished for example.
Larger companies may have employed more staff or booked extra call centre time to deal with such promotions.

All D2D failures should be reported by your DOM.
If I was being asked to deliver D2D not to spec, I would want to see evidence that the D2D failures had been properly reported and consent had been given by the customer to have the contracts delivered at a later date.

And then I would work to my time.

tell your DOM that you won't be doing the last two weeks D2D items and if he threatens to discipline you tell him you want everyone else who did not deliver them to be taken down the same route as yourself.

He knows he will get s**t from above for not ensuring they were delivered in the last two weeks, stand firm and get your REP involved.

If however your DOM has followed the correct procedure and the customer has agreed to move the contracted weeks, then they are now part of your workload and you will be delivering as many as possible within your contracted hours.

I always hand them back to a lino if I find any that haven't been done in my absence. Never had any come backs. My argument is that they were part of the work load for whoever was on my walk that week/day I was off so if management want them done give them to them!

Look if you are told by a manager to do it do it and take your meal relief and bring what you cannot do back have a note book file a grievance and be prepared for the same manager managing you out of the business till his boss wants rid of him before you!

If your Dom insists on you doing them then you can say it's wilfull delay on the part of whoever did your duty that day as d2ds are now classed as live Mail . Watch how quick he backs down , this happens all the time and I just plonk them on his desk and walk away , never been an issue.

Tell your DOM you was on holiday and there the responsible of the personss who did your round , if he insists then put a Bullying / HARRASSMENT form in against him stating that he has ignored a wilfull delay of live mail , that'll quieten him down , always have these conversations with a union rep / colleague present

I can't believe there are so many different interpretations of policies and procedures adopted by managers,am sure they are under pressure to slash and cut hours and save money and yet ensure deliveries are covered,but the different way they work can't be fair,am puzzled who would want to become one,

Yeh I wonder that also, we are very quick to slag them off, myself included, but they get the pressure from above so the crap they give us is just passed down the line, difference is we can just go home and not give a toss.

i dont agree with a lot of the above, and refusing to deliver them isnt a good idea imo. If it was me, id inform my manager, dom that they are still there, ask why they werent done. If they ask you to deliver them, make them understand this will affect your ability to complete the duty and how they are going to make it achievable with the added workload. If they decide to not help you out at all and want you to just get on with it, follow the cut off procedure.

just hand him them all back at just say they have nothing to do with you look at the dates , the overtime gang or whoever covered your duty should have done them.
