Managing you're frame

We have been told to today we can't cut off, leave lapsed bits, packets or mech. But have been told we have to leave manual work we don't have time to prep. Is this a new idea from other offices or are they just making more rubbish up?

its quite amusing how shocking this company is becoming. so much more profit could be made if the powers that be had the slightest clue what they were doing.

And this, even though Uncle Bob has left this is still relevant, there is no 'streaming' of mail allowed, see this......

Dear Colleagues,

During the recent ADR briefings the subject of ‘Streaming or Skimming’ of mail was raised by a number of reps and subsequently raised by me at the NDG. Royal Mail’s response was that they were unaware of it and it was only anecdotal, they needed firmer ‘evidence’. Therefore could reps please supply the dept via email with any instances where this has occurred or is occurring, naming the office and the manager of the office and how frequently this has occurred, and how the streaming actually occurs. In some cases the decision of what not to deliver has been left to OPGs which in itself is unacceptable. In other instances it forms part of absorption/lapsing where an OPG is taken off a delivery to allow others to absorb the delivery by only delivering the 1c and leaving everything else in the frame.



Your urgent attention and response to this request would be greatly appreciated.

"Controlled Carry Over" that is what they call it in my office,happened last Friday.

Thanks for the info there will look into doing that myself as the union rep don't seem interested as long as his nice easy duty stays in tack. Also had another union rep say we have no rights on duties all Royal Mail have to do is employ us. Not digging at the union rep cause most do a great job just outlining how things seem to be going

They know exactly what they are doing. They are reducing your pay, reducing benefits (sick pay), reducing your future pension, increasing the foot slogging, giving you less time to do the job correctly. All in the name of capitalism, attracting more investment through higher dividend returns, in order that the board of directors can justify huge annual pay rewards and benefits. This board have opted to take the normal route of large companies in their strive for profitability in as much that they strive for cost savings at the expense of growing the business. This is short term aimless planning that will degrade the services that are provided to the public, and in time will prove the downfall of any business.
