What the hell is feeling first class on the back of the wage slip?

Sorry for the long tile but what can they do and have you or any of you used them and if so do they tell management your conversation you had with them is this ATOS or OHS or is this a management propaganda tool we all need to know before we call this!

Well thanks postie 45 but none of these help lines will help me unless I can send my manager for management training as he sadly is lacking in this department! But thanks once again

When my lovely dom told me about it, he told me everything was in confidence but I was sceptical if he was telling the truth.

To be honest the counselling service SHOULDN'T tell any managers or anyone else unless your life is in danger, others are in danger. Also if you have any links to terrorists or planning to do any terrorists behaviour.

Probably certain crimes too but if you did speak to a counsellor they would explain all of this to you and any other reasons why they'd break confidentiality.

Feeling First class is the latest programme set up by RM to assist in the welfare of employees and gives you the opportunity to air your concerns of the treatment you are receiving which may be having an adverse effect on your health. It is strictly confidential and basically a listening device and because of this they would not be reporting your work problems to management to assist you for a works improvement.

Would you not be better off going to your doctor or someone you trust instead of a help line by an employer who in all probability has caused the problem in the first place!

It's just away of RM stating that they have set this " Feeling First Class" up as they have a duty of care towards their employees and take their welfare seriously but again as their is no direct reporting to RM of your conversations then there would be no satisfactory conclusion to the matter being addressed or solved other than you getting it off your chest. Your doctor would more than likely if you seem to be suffering from work related stress sign you off from the problem but the attendance procedure would kick in. There is an Employee Relations Team based at Pond Street, Sheffield and maybe some colleagues who have gone down this route can post if it is worth the effort. There is also the grievance procedure available to you and I personally would like to see this used more often and inundate management with countless paperwork but you will find that some colleagues can't be bothered with the effort or have a fear of reprisals.
