Save our postman

This petition has been set up to save our Wawne village postman Christopher Ward. Royal Mail have sadly decided to relocate Chris to a different area after 17 years of working in Wawne. This decision will mean a sad loss to many of the villagers who have built up a friendly relationship with Chris. He has become part of our community. Please reconsider your decision Royal Mail to relocate him as his relocation will mean a sad loss of a village member and community friend.

That's cool and all but you won't win.
Royal mail is built on seniority, whoever is highest gets first pick of a round and so on.

Just a sad reflection of how this job has become,they've lost touch of the personal connection the postman has,a while ago they were all for looking out for the customer etc ,how things change in this rat race,they will have there answers,but you won't see this in a double page spread in the courier,they simply can't leave things alone that's working well,I dispair with this company at times,I love the job but leave the red tape jargon crap well alone,it will screw you up if you let it,another idea that should have senior people holding there heads in shame

Don't think I've ever heard of any of these protests being listened to or won. Good luck but in the eyes of RM all postmen/women are equal and provide an equal service. It's complete BS of course but RM don't really care about public relations any more!

17 years and not been signed out? whats going on there then? if it was that good and he was senior enough he'd still be on it.

There are many other people who will give as good a service as the present d/o. If there has been a revision then repicks will follow as per national agreements. Anyhow since when has the public been allowed to pick who their d/o is going to be. I'm sure they wouldn't have a say to which dustman empties their bins etc

"oh our dave used to leave it behind the bin for me when I pop down the town"

"What time do you call this ?our dave used to start an hour early every day"

"Dave never used to put those blooming pizza leaflets through our door"

"Sign for what ? Dave used to sign them for us.
