Transfer to the North West

I'm looking for a transfer to the Manchester area (long story!) Quite flexible as to where me and the family can move to but just looking for some advice on offices (good/bad etc), see plenty of advertised vacancies in the area and have applied for one via success factors in Bolton North. Thing is am looking to keep my 39 hour contract which been told by one of my union guys might be possible despite all the advertised vacancies being 28 hours or less!

As for me, I do the job properly, don't mind over time but can't always do it! I have a beast of a van share in my current office so can pretty much take anything RM throws at me lol! Any advice most appreciated!

postman in our place got a transfer up to north west from Essex don't ask he was full time in Essex and is now on 30 week but replaced his with a 39 hour ??????

our office is permanently short so when I go my 39 hours will be replaced immediately I would imagine!

You've applied for Bolton North....are you nuts?
There's a good reason why there are vacancies at this office it's because the place is run by a sociopath, it's a well known fact that this office has the highest number of Employment Tribunal cases in the north .

And as for keeping your 39 hours you've no chance as they are after more hours out of the craphole.

Oh my word!!! Kinda resigned myself to cutting my hours down, Chorley and Oldham have vacancies, are they are crazy????
