Some of ours are over 100 miles with one hybrid doing 120 miles a day. The furthest delivery point from our office is 38 miles with a couple of deliveries driving 17 miles to first delivery point. I'm guessing that as an office we drive about 2k miles a day.
wow, im assuming its a rural location ? do they go out on delivery in pairs ? not a bad gig if youre the non driver :)

that's actually a valid point, my van does 60 miles per week and would hazard a guess we have 50 vans doing roughly the same,
would be good to know the actual breakdown in the costs of running so many vans,
i know they'll probably get discounts for bulk usage but consider the insurance, tax, maintenance (or lack of) breakdown cover, fuel etc.
bring back the bag drops and leave the over-sized parcels to the bag drop/conveyance drivers or parcelforce.
would even be an idea for some older posties to get a total driving job so not to send them to an early grave.

about 49 miles, but I have to drive an extra 12 miles back over the same route, as some idiot changed all the box collection times, that's the way to save fuel!
