How far is your delivery

we about do 8 miles in the van a day moving between loops etc , but we actually walk btw 15 - 20+ miles a day with lwts .

that's actually a valid point, my van does 60 miles per week and would hazard a guess we have 50 vans doing roughly the same,
would be good to know the actual breakdown in the costs of running so many vans,
i know they'll probably get discounts for bulk usage but consider the insurance, tax, maintenance (or lack of) breakdown cover, fuel etc.
bring back the bag drops and leave the over-sized parcels to the bag drop/conveyance drivers or parcelforce.
would even be an idea for some older posties to get a total driving job so not to send them to an early grave.

No mate were not rurals , we work 2 in a van . Delivery including drive out / back and pouch ing off is 6+ hrs

about 49 miles, but I have to drive an extra 12 miles back over the same route, as some idiot changed all the box collection times, that's the way to save fuel!
