you know u got those low letter boxes at ground level? well one time a cats claw came right through the letter box and ripped my hand to pieces, now everytime i post through a letter box like that i get abit worried anyone else experianced this????

theres a cat on one of the rounds in the office, the cat will come out of the flap and attack you. never happened to me, nothing that a boot or water wouldnt sort out.

ps use your boot to open the letter box.

Two of us on a walk in our office have been scratched by a cat when putting the mail through the letter box. I was doing it on OT & thought I'd scratched myself on a nail or something, then as I was walking away from the house I saw the cat trying to climb the living room window. It was only young so just playing but it drew blood. Good job I'm an animal lover.

just do what I do with all annoying pets, post the letter through and hold it while the Dog/Cat shreds it to pieces, once past the letter flap is not my problem, sometimes I have nothing but contempt for customers that don't appreciate a valuable service we do for them, it would give me great pleasure to make thier lives more inconvenieced by doing so especially cheques and Giros, BUT for vulnerable people, I have all the time in the world for them especially if they are disabled mentally or physically, usually they are the nicest people and they are most likely to be taken advantage off by scumbags, both seemed to reside in sink estates unfortunately.

The accident book isn't called erica but the new electronic system of reporting which has done away with the old paper style accident books is referred to as ERICA which stands for Electronic Reporting of Incidents for Collating and Analysis

What you need is one of those dog attack alarms, can't remember the name of them - tazer I think?????

They're grey. Anyway they are useless on dogs but work perfectly on cats.

Tested mine out on a cat on one of my old rounds and nearly got it run over
