Minor Accident

I had a minor collision last week and I am in for a grilling on Saturday, what can I expect? should I take a Rep with me?

Letter says, formal fact finding interview and mentions a decison on blameworthiness all sounds very grim

It involved a stationary vehicle which sustained very minor damage, hardly any damage occurred to the van.

I have never had an accident before and Pertemps was also mentioned to me.

Thoughts?

Don't worry , even if your found at fault , they might take you off driving for a while and put you on an accident awareness course . They might not even take you off driving at all as they didn't with me as they had no one else to do my duty . Accidents happen that's why we have insurance so don't lose sleep over it .

Yes take a rep, and get time before the meeting to brief/talk to them.

On Pertemps, could you explain the context used, but it might just mean another driving assessment or as chickenwittle suggest a driving safety course?

Thanks, getting a few headaches through this or I'm guessing this is causing them

Letter I was given mentions the lino in it and accepting the training course, I guess that's what they arranged.

Course duration is mentioned as 4 hrs.

I had the 'changever over' thingy when we went to vans years ago and I was trained on the Duty for 3 days - shown the route, delivery points etc so in answer to your question no no driver training prior as such.

I suppose it depends when you started, but you are supposed to be given drivers training before you drive a vehicle for RM. There should be paperwork signed by you and the driving instructor who carried out the training. If there is no evidence of this then it would be a very good line of defence.

Pretty sure that's called the driver changeover which I've had when we went from bikes to vans back circa around 2011.

Rep is guessing I might get a two year serious

or If it's any more we'll contest it

Thinking of giving up driving for RM to be honest now.
